DNA Testing Clinic

Saturday June 5, 2010 from 12:00 to 1:30 under the pavilion.

Tests offered will be prcd PRA - Optigen and EIC, CNM and Coat Colour - DDC Veterinary

OPTIGEN TEST (blood samples)
· Each test will receive a group discount of 20%.
· A Vet Tech to be on hand to draw blood samples.
· A $20.00 donation will be collected to cover testing supplies and the blood to the United States by Fedex. We will take care of shipping the blood for you.

In advance of the clinic go to www.optigen.com. OptiGen has a form that needs to be filled out and sent with the blood.

1. fill in all the paperwork on-line
2. Use the clinic code LOCX65 for the 20% discount.
This code is only active from May 22-June 6, 2010.
3. fill in your credit card number for an additional 5% discount
4. then print off forms which will give you your "registration" number which we can put on the vial of blood.

NOTE If you do not fill the form in on-line, we will have printed forms available at the show but unfortunately you will not get the extra 5% discount.

You cannot send your blood sample directly to OptiGen. There is no Satellite Participation for this clinic.


EIC, CNM & COAT COLOUR TEST
Samples will be done by buccal swab. Swab Kits and submission forms will be available from the Clinic Coordinator (Joanne Fernall) or Show Chair ( Dawn van Nostrand ) prior to the clinic and during the clinic. One set of swabs is sufficient for all three tests for one dog if required, however there will still be a per test fee.

The cost of each test will be $45.00 USD. Each additional locus requested for Coat Colour will be an additional $20.00 USD.

Please make sure that you have credit card information or a money order drawn in US Funds to accompany your submission.
A $5.00 donation will be collected to cover shipping costs.

If you are unable to attend the clinic you can return your completed forms and collected samples (swabs) to the show chair up until BOB judging on Sunday June 7, 2010.
